Be Thou At Peace

Bill Welter's "w's" passing is a shocker that all of us are unprepared for. He was so much a part of us every day with the glue that binds us together. Without doubt, that binding glue will continue! I did not know Bill beyond cadet memories given his 2d Regiment & my 1st Regiment Cadet life -- no cross roads during service assignments to retirement. But it is to my loss I did not join with him as so many other 55ers have in recent times. The outpouring of this attests to the love and honor that all are placing on his foot prints -- He was some kind of guy! His family conveys to us the champion that he is and has been to all ... His passing gives strength as classmates to know that family, classmates, The Corps prevail after the last 55er standing joins the Long Gray Line.
God bless all,
Fred Bliss
