Jeff would have really been impressed with the funeral service yesterday. It was a magnificient testimony to the love and friendship of his family, friends and classmates. His brother George (USMA '59) and two sons did a magnificent job in portraying a caring and loving father who did his best to impart many of the qualities Jeff had learned at West Point. "He always had the time to listen and talk with the kids in the neighborhood and Jeff's sons were proud of their dad being the best dad in the neighborhood". Their many antedotes were priceless. Dan Evans memorialization of Jeff as a classmate was a moving tribute from many classmates in emails received and some from this eulogy site. It was a restless night remembering so many sad and tearful moments yesterday. I know all are comforted that Jeff is now at peace with himself and can be sure that Jeff is organizing our classmates in heaven and trying to get a barbershop quartet and glee club started. |
