Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Bill Robertson on September 3, 2008:

Bill Black was a genuine southern gentleman from Tennessee. As firsties Bill was in F1 and I was in B2, but somehow we knew each other and after graduation or the graduation parade we both were in the sinks of north baracks. He asked if anyone had a quarter for him to get a soda and I provided it. Whenever we bumped into each other at Fort Campbell (our first duty station) I would remind him he owed me a quarter - which he never had at the time. It was a standing joke between us. He was a good guy.
