Having graduated 6 years after Bill at West Point, I sadly never got to see him play in person except on TV (ARMY_NAVY). However I had the great pleasure of hearing his name mentioned many times as I listened to Army Football on the radio as a high school student Year later I met and worked with Bill at Abbott Laboratories and had the pleasure to compete with him in a knock down, stand up, drag down basketball game. He not only was a fierce competitor but a great business leader as well. I lost track of him as we went our separate ways in business, but I will always remember Bill as a great guy and one of my childhood heroes. Joe Passanante |
