| Gene and I were good friends Plebe and Yearling year in A-2 first division - now a museum. Having his ready smile and that mischievous glint in his eyes was always encouraging when trying to survive Plebe year in a former runt company. He was a ready accomplice in practical jokes - especially getting even with the Cows when we were Yearlings. After our last attack the Cows sued for peace. A story I need to share with our Scribe. We will all miss Gene but relieved that his suffering is no more. He has a permanent home in my memories. Be thou at peace. |
