Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Dan Schafer on January 18, 2005:

Charlie was one of my very best friends. Isn't cool how many people can say that and know it is true about Charlie?! He was part of "The Group" that roamed the halls of B4 together since our yearling year. Charlie had fun! He had fun at school, he had fun in the city, he had fun in Big D. He had lots of fun on our graduation "world tour". Charlie was just a lot of fun. He was also a real saint, and routinely found himself "taking care" of his buddies. Who could ever forget Mom's safe rides in the old K car?

Smart as he was tough. Generous as he was rich. Rich with good things to say, help to give, and time to share. It was an honor getting to know his family. I am sorry for their loss and my "absence" since his passing.

We are all better for knowing you. You left an impression on all that knew you. You were taken from us all way to soon. We all miss you Charlie. May God give you and your family peace.
