Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Dave Tomblin on November 23, 2005:

While it has been many years since I carried Bob, then 1LT Vrindten, out of the same bar 3 times in one night while visiting Crete, Greece in 198x, I only learned of his demise a couple of days ago from another of the alumni of D Btry, 4/1 ADA. I remember the training exercises we had together during my 2 years at the remote Hawk Missile Site that we were both assigned to. More vividly though, I remember the match-ups he and the other LTs had with us enlisted men. It was a much better time then. I only hope that he's in a better place. The world could use more people like he was back then. Strong, Fierce, and Loyal to his men. He will be missed. Godspeed, Brother.
