| Teaching Plebe English to Kathleen was one of my greatest pleasures as an instructor at West Point. It was hard to believe she was gone when I heard the news in 1991, and it is no easier now to accept it. I recall her as a Yearling, playing the role of a fairy in a cadet production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and enjoying it as if she had played the lead. Never did I know anyone who could find such joy in the small things of life. Your like shall not soon pass this way again, Miss Sherry. Be thou at peace. |
