Be Thou At Peace

Posted by James Burch on July 8, 2009:

Brian was a "comrade-in-arms" from Iraq. He was a fearless dude and had a servant heart. I just found out that Captain Wheeler passed. I am saddened. A mutual friend of ours had been trying to locate Brian for us after leaving Iraq. Last night he couldn't sleep and this is when he found out this tragic news. Brian supported our work with the Corps of Engineers in Iraq and always was willing to go the "extra mile". Humorous events often occurred in nightly card games. One such night, a ranking officer was jerking Brian's chain for about the tenth time that day and sent someone to fetch him again. He affectionately was dubbed, "jag boy" over this and laughed with us as we enjoyed ribbing him. He talked of sky diving a lot. We watched Pinky and the Brain cartoons together and ran the gauntlet to BIAP a few times. May God Bless your family and continue to bring you His Peace.
