| I had the honor and privilege of serving with Bubba in Afghanistan, and I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Bubba was a truly great officer, leader and human being. He cared passionately about his soldiers and his mission and he was always courageous and composed under fire. At the same time, Bubba had an easy manner and great sense of humor that are essential to coping with the rigors of deployment. His soldiers on the "Crazy Horse" Police Mentor Team greatly respected and admired him. My prayers and sincerest condolences go out to all of Bubba's family and friends, and to the families of the three other Crazy Horse soldiers killed in this incident. |
