Be Thou At Peace

| Laura was a favorite from my time as a youth worker in Giessen. I remember many fun times with her in the brief time we both lived there, including a trip to Paris for New Year's. I helped her with her West Point application and she was so eager to serve our country. I had lost touch with her and was trying to reconnect when I heard the terrible news. I can't really believe the confident, brilliant, lovely high school girl I knew is gone. It has really made the danger our soldiers face much more real to me. Laura was a wonderful woman who brightened the lives of everyone who was privileged to know her. She served honorably and her sacrifice will not be forgotten. She will be sorely missed. - Jen Harman |
