Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Stephen Fuller on December 12, 2007:

I had the honor of knowing and working with Adam. He was the Scout PL and I was his XO. The last time I saw him, he was speeding up to the TOC on a Polaris four wheeler, saw me coming out of the maintenance bay and turned and yelled, "I need a bull horn." A few days before that I saw him in the gym doing a CrossFit work out. These memories of his humor and toughness will stay with me.

Most importantly, I'll remember Adam as believing in what he was doing in Iraq. I know that if what we're doing works, it's because of guys like Adam, and not because he gave his life, but because of how he lived. And if it doesn't work, it had a chance because of people like him.

My heart breaks for his family, and my thoughts and prayers are with them.
