| To Dan's family: A day has not gone by without thoughts of you. We are the parents of Capt. Evan Westgate who was proud to call Dan "friend" and had the utmost respect for him. We are so very saddened by your loss. We are grateful for Dan's service and sacrifice -- and your sacrifice as well, as you cope every day with the loss of your son, brother, and husband. We know that he was among of our great country's finest. You are in our prayers and will remain so in the difficult months ahead. |
