My son Justin Ottenwalter and Tom shared 3 years together at West Point in C2 and then shared OBC at Fort Know since they both branched armor. This was a very tight knit group and Tom was such a bright, outstanding individual. I remember sharing many many of the same ceremonies with Tom's family and admiring how close they all were. I remember when Tom and Justin got pinned and Tom's Mom then saluting her son. It is something I will never forget and I want to extend my condolences to his whole family. I just got the call from Justin in Korea and wanted to post this as soon as I found out. His contribution and sacrifice will never be forgotten. |
