Be Thou At Peace

| I knew Dan by name only until IOBC. From the very first day it was obvious why everyone refered to him as Superman or Captain America. Dan was just that much better than the rest of us. I'll always remember seeing Dan on a knee dry shaving on the field at IOBC. While the rest of us would run home to grab a shower, but Dan would always stay back because to him it was the right thing to do. Dan was one of the best people that I have ever known and will ever know. I remember throwing him in Victory Pond after he graduated from Ranger School. The last time I saw him was at the LTO the morning I finished out processing Ft. Benning. He was just as impressive that day as he was the first day I met him, or the day I road gaurded for him during the Iron Man competition, or when he found out he had recycled Florida. Through highs and lows, Dan always put others before himself. Be thou at peace |
