I had the privilege to serve as Christopher Goecke's Tactical Officer at USMA for his senior year while he served as a member of the Brigade Staff. Just three weeks ago, I spoke with Chris on the phone in Afghanistan. Chris was out there doing an outstanding job. As a cadet and Officer, Chris was a mature, competant leader--a true professional that represented the best of the Army and West Point. I am glad to have known Christopher. My greatest sympathy goes out to his family, friends, his fellow paratroopers, and members of the class of 2008. God bless Christopher. Respectfully, MAJ D.T.HILLS 5th Stryker Brigade 2ID FT Lewis |
