Be Thou At Peace

Posted by '09 on October 1, 2013:

Hey brother.

My thoughts are on you today. I never got a chance to thank you for talking to me in the study room. It's funny that I was so hesitant to understand your faith, and now over 6 years later, I believe.

You were always a good example, a hard worker, a humble man, and wise beyond your years. I have no doubt that meeting you was one of God's ways to open my eyes.

I have dreams or visions where I'm in a desert canyon and you're my PL. It's a trip. Even though I won't see you again until we meet in the kingdom, I am not surprised it was your time.

I figure God thought something like "Okay, he's ready, it's time for him to be with me". You were that cool, your faith was that strong. I suppose you are doing some miraculous things right now.

I will pray for your family. It must be incredibly difficult losing someone like you. I imagine you laughing somewhere. Running, working, enjoying heaven? With a dog maybe.

Your running shorts were too short dude. I like how you carried your Bible around. It's my guide now too.

So we did not interact as often as I would have liked, but you should know your life had a profound impact on mine. Rest in peace brother, I bet Jesus is a cool dude huh?

Well you went out like a bad ass. Boots on. As a man, with God. I couldn't be more proud of you.
