| I had the pleasure of knowing John for a year as we were both in E4 my plebe year. He was my 1SGT and he was a silent, strong leader who lead by example. I had much respect for him and I never heard any person, higher up or subordinate, talk ill about John. He was one of the few people I talked to when I decided to leave West Point and his words of wisdom are words that I took to heart. He will be missed greatly. My heart goes out to his family. Your son was a great man. Be thou at peace, John. |
