| My father John F. Schure served in the U.S. Navy in W.W.II, his cousin Irvin R. Schimmelpfennig served in the U.S. Army. My father spoke of Irvin during family discussions about the war and our family members that participated. The comment that I most remember was my father saying that his cousin Irvin was the most intellegent person that my father had ever known. |
