| Orlin was in the same plebe company as I. None of us thought he would make it through plebe year. The upperclassmen seemed to have him in their sights. He surprised us all through internal resolve and toughness. Many were surprised he graduated but he certainly did. I doubt any classmates thought he would be a general officer but he was. I often think Orlin was the most inspiring classmate we had! He was a good man gone too soon and I will miss him. Rest in peace, you are a credit to the Long Gray Line. |
