Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Floyd Mandell on December 16, 2016:

I first met Jon when we were both first year lawyers in Chicago, September 10, 1973. He had graduated from Texas law school and I was a new lawyer graduating from the University of Illinois. We became friends immediately and I always will remember his incredible depth, intellect, kindness, and out going personality. He was very much into the Eastern culture, and started his learning martial arts as a means to exercise both his mind and body. When he left Chicago we lost touch and I regret that. But I was always remember his friendship and am very lucky our paths crossed. He was a unique person and I am so sorry he is gone. My future wife (then girlfriend) as well as my other friends all agreed that he was one of the more special people we had the privilege to know.
