Be Thou At Peace

| Well, this last few months have been a rough ride for the Class of 2004. Gary's death came as an unpleasent surprise but for the brief time that we really got to know each other well at IOBC he showed us all just how good of a dude he was. I'll never forget stumbling around cemeteries, falling in hog holes, and getting caught for hours in ivy during advanced land nav at IOBC one Friday night. The only thing that really made it bearable was Gary's sense of humor. Our consolation is that Gary is now in the company of two very good infantrymen, and coincidentally, friends. Take it easy up there fellas, we can only aspire to be the leaders you have been. |
