When violent men are brought to tears... Brave men brought to remember... The bonds of passing years... The trumpets' melancholy voices send... Tribute to a life... That came to a bitter end... When violent men search the sky... For some sign... Some reason why... The trumpets' voices seem to cry... It wasn't in vain... That your friend died... Violent men dry your tears... Bring back life... To its former cheer... That's the way your friend would want it... Pay tribute and move on... As did the trumpet... In memory of Jack Heinmiller -August 26, 1981 - April 22, 2001 |
