Be Thou At Peace

Posted by 04 sister on April 24, 2001:

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there
I do not sleep

When you wake from sleep in the morning hush
Let me be the slow uplifting rush
Do not cry, let your heart be light
Let me be the soft and starlit night

When you go to formation and Im not there
Let me be the quick warm gust of air
you may feel sorrow for many weeks
Let me be the smile that turns up your cheeks

Let me be the sliding puck
Let me be the helping hand pushing on your ruck
Let me be a victorious tune
or the the sudden glint that lights up a room

For I am a thousand winds that softly blow
I am freshly fallen Minnesota snow
I am the sunlight on the open plain
I am the soft and gentle autumn rain

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there
I do not sleep

My sincerest condolences to the Heinmiller family
